Planning and Automating Your Podcast Workflow

Friday, April 13, 2007

I’m delighted to be one the speakers at this year’s Podcast and Portable Media Expo in Ontario, California. The expo will take place September 28-30.

My session will be on Planning and Automating Your Podcast Workflow and is the wrap-up session for the Podcasting 101 track. Hopefully, I’ll be able to give new (and experienced) podcasters some useful tips on planning your workflow and adding a bit of automation to help ease the pain. Here’s the session description:

Podcasting can take time. A lot of time. By carefully planning, streamlining and, in some cases, automating your podcast workflow, you can have more time to devote to brainstorming new podcast content. This session will discuss how to plan and automate your podcast workflow so that you’re spending less time doing redundant tasks and more time creating useful content for your listeners. If you find yourself taking hours to put your show together and are beginning to dread the process, you need to attend this session and learn how to work more efficiently.

While I have some of my own ideas and techniques for podcast workflow automation and management, I’m all ears and eyes for anything you might be doing to speed up production of your podcast. Feel free to drop me an email using listen@podcastfreeamerica.com
